Calf Implants

Procedure

Calf augmentation with implants enhances the size and appearance of the calf muscles by inserting a silicone implant, resulting in improved aesthetics.

Approximately 1.5 hours.

General or regional anesthesia can be used.

Hospitalization is required, usually for 24 hours.

The patient must wear a compression bandage for two weeks following the procedure and should avoid exercise for several weeks.

Swelling usually subsides after several weeks.

Results vary from patient to patient; however, the general effect is an enhancement in calf size for a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

In most cases, the results last for five to ten years.
