Thigh reduction involves removing excess skin and fat from the upper leg (thigh) to improve its contour by removing soft tissues.
Approximately 2 to 4.5 hours, depending on the amount of tissue to be removed.
General or regional anesthesia can be used.
Hospital admission is required.
Restricted movement is required for 3 to 4 weeks: avoid separating or excessively bending the legs.
It is important to wear the special post-operative compression garment to aid in recovery.
Results may be visible for several years unless the patient gains weight; maintaining a balanced diet and exercising regularly is recommended.
Results can vary from person to person.
