The goal of an arm lift (brachioplasty) is to reduce excess skin in the area and decrease the circumference of the arm.
When the skin has good tone or minimal sagging, fat deposits can be reduced with liposuction. However, only surgery can address significant skin redundancy or excessive laxity.
The incisions are placed in the natural crease of the armpit and along the inner arm, following a line that extends from the armpit to the elbow, near the epicondyle. At this point, excess skin and fat are removed, and the incision is closed subcuticularly using aesthetic closure methods.
Approximately 2-3 hours.
General or regional anesthesia can be used.
Hospitalization is required.
The recovery process typically takes between seven to ten days.
It is recommended to use a special elastic compression garment for the area for six weeks.
Good and long-lasting results are achieved in both younger and older patients who have fat deposits and good skin tone.
Results may vary depending on the individual.
