Breast Lift
Procedure
Breast lift surgery (Mastopexy) removes excess skin that has accumulated around the breast due to pregnancy or weight changes.
This procedure can be combined with the placement of a breast implant to achieve the desired result.
Duration
Approximately 2-3 hours.

General or regional anesthesia can be used.
Need for Hospitalization
Hospitalization may or may not be required, depending on the patient’s health and the surgeon’s preference.
Possible Side Effects
- Bruising.
- Swelling.
- Mild discomfort.
- Numbness.
- Dryness or skin sensitivity.
Potential Risks
- Unfavorable scars (pathological) such as keloids.
- Skin loss.
- Infection.
- Asymmetry in the final position of the nipples.
- Possible permanent loss of sensation in the nipples and/or breasts.
Recovery Time
The patient can return to work within a week or more and resume strenuous activities in about a month.
Scars may take several months or up to a year to fully remodel.
Type of Result
Results vary depending on the patient. Factors such as skin laxity, pregnancy, age, and weight changes can affect outcomes, potentially causing sagging.
Results may last longer or be more effective if implants are inserted as part of the procedure to provide additional support to the newly positioned breast tissue.
