Gluteal implants (or butt implants) enhance the size and appearance of the buttocks by placing silicone implants either below, within, or above the gluteal muscle, resulting in an improved aesthetic appearance.
Approximately 2.5 hours.
General or regional anesthesia can be used.
Hospitalization is required, typically for 24 hours.
The patient should avoid sitting as much as possible during the first 72 hours after the procedure and should lie face down or stand most of the time.
Special sitting devices, like a cushion that relieves pressure on the buttocks, are recommended for the first 10 to 15 days after the surgery.
The patient should wear a special compression garment in the buttock area and avoid exercise or heavy lifting for several weeks.
We recommend wearing a stage 1 garment for the first 6 weeks, 24 hours a day, and then a stage 2 garment from week 7 to week 12, which can be worn for 12 hours a day.
The patient should not consume alcohol immediately after the procedure or for three weeks following it.
Bruising and swelling should disappear after a few weeks.
Results vary from patient to patient; however, the overall effect is an enhancement in the size of the buttocks, resulting in a more aesthetic appearance.
